My fun UEA

at frightmares with my cousin Kourt
I could not have asked for a funner UEA! We were the only college in Utah to get both thursday and friday off.. so my break started Wednesday right after school:) A few of my roomates stayed with me and we had movie watching night.. filled with Emperor's New Groove, and Ice Age, and Gilmore Girls.. Aah! loved every moment.. and if you have never seen Emperor's New Groove, you need too.. because you will laugh so hard.. isn't it funny how as we grow older we actually understand all of the jokes in the little kid movies?
I got to take my roomate to get her cast off.. and they use a cool saw! Along with that we went to Sub Zero ice cream and had the yummiest chocolate peanut butter ice cream cone ever!
I got to go watch Lynde play in her quarter final soccer game. Go Davis! I didn't realize how good of a soccer player my sister is.. but she is amazing! I loved watching her play!
Mom took all of us kids to the pumpkin patch.. and I will have to post those pictures later.. but I haven't been to a pumpkin patch in years! it was a blast.. Syd kept wanting to get the biggest pumpkin in the whole patch to take home and carve. haha.. we got some good laughs over that.
On Friday we went "on the tour" as my mom likes to say :) We got this pass called a connect pass. It is $20 for adults to go.. and you get to do all of these things in salt lake like eat at the lion house, ride the tracks, childrens museum, aquarium, planetarium, butte gardens, the zoo, this is the place state park, the olympic park, and thanksgiving point. all for $20. So we planned our day out and hit as much of them as we could! We were beat by the end of the day.. but it was so much fun!
On Saturday we were off to watch Syd play in her last soccer game! GO SWEET PEAS! Syd played great! I think she is going to follow in Lyndee's footsteps when she is older.
After that he headed to frightmares along with the whole state of Utah. I think that was a record people breaker for Lagoon.. haha.. there were so many people there! but it was a blast.. Me and Lyndee were ride buddies! :) and I love how Landon still will hold my hand! aah! it was a blast
What a great weekend! I love my family!

What an adventure of a weekend!

Okay, this is what life as a college student look like =) Friends walking down the street and talking with each other and laughing! Welcome to SNOW! On the left is my roomate Liz, in the Middle is Emma, and on i'm on the right.

Okay so on Saturday night Liz, Jena, and me were sitting there looking at some videos with my roomate. Saturday was homecoming and we just were hanging out. Well all of the sudden a video of the Mo-tab comes on and Jena was saying how she has never been to the tabernacle to hear the Mo- Tab sing before.. she had only been to the conference center. (take note this was at eleven o'clock that night) and so Jena says "guys we should go see that sometime" and Liz responds with "We should go see them tomorrow!" and we all yell "yeah!" So Liz called her parents who live in Salt Lake and told them we were coming up.. and all three of us hopped in Liz's car and drove up to Salt Lake. We got there at about one thirty.. And I am not spontaneous at all.. and I almost didn't go.. In fact, Jena and Liz had to about force me to go.. I was literally on the verge of not going. But it was a BLAST! and I am so glad I didn't miss it. Liz's house was beautiful! We went to the spoken word on Sunday and afterword we went and watched the Joseph Smith movie where my testimony was strengthened so much! What a fun, random trip! I love these girls too! They are like my sisters!

ROOMATES.. all ten of us! :) starting on the left you got Lisa, April, Mel, Whit, Liz, Me, Casey, Marleen, Amanda, and Emma! I learn so much from these girls! they are all so cute.. and I think that we have way too much fun together! :) haha..
This is my ambassador team! For homecoming our theme was "roundin up the students" so half dressed up like cowboys and the other half as students. It was so much fun! aah! I loved every second! I feel so blessed to be on a team with these guys!
FOOTBALL GAME! It was perfect weather too.. well until it started SNOWING! thank goodness for hot chocolate! haha.. This game was a lot of fun! We won it too by the way.. Snow is ranked #2 in the nation! Whoot Whoot! :)

Oh my! What a fun weekend! It started out with a football game with me Landon and Syd! =) Landon is getting quite the arm, and I think Sydnee has the personality where "anything you can do I can do better." haha.. it was so fun playing with them. We then ventured off to the Davis football game, and our neighbor stumped us with the hardest hangman game I have ever played! The word was eeyore.. and it took all the adults and little kids about fifteen minutes to finally guess it! Me and Lyndee went and got a shake and just talked for a little while. I love her so much. She is such a great example in my life, and she sure has taught me that some of my greatest teachers are younger than me.
On Saturday we watched CONFERENCE! Now all of those who had the opportunity of watching conference, wasn't it amazing? I feel so refreshed! The gospel is true.. There were so many words of comfort and hope!
Our family went and watched Landon play at his football game. He did so good! I love how cute those little boys are! And my observations that I am sure glad I am not a guy. I think I would cry if my coaches yelled at me.. but those boys love it =)
Off to Red Robin! mmmm! So good!
Shay, mom, lynd, and me all got to go have a girls night on Saturday night and went and saw the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" and to be honest, I loved it.
Family pictures were taken on Sunday before grandma kathy loses her hair. She had her first Chemo treatment on Friday. She is the strongest person I have ever met in my life. She has the best sense of humor and outlook on life. I hope that I can become more like her!
And now.... back in Ephraim there are leaves all over the ground, the weather is a jacket weather =) and I love it!

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!

I am the luckiest girl in the whole world to have the parents that I do. My mom and dad just turned 42 in the last two weeks.. and one tradition we have in our family is tell the things that we love about the person whose birthday it is.. and I can't pass up that opportunity.. even if it is a little belated.

Since my dad's birthday was first I will start with him! My dad is one of the funniest, most caring, hardworking person that I have ever met in my life. I can't talk to my dad without laughing or smiling at one thing or another. Here are just a few treasured memories that I have with my dad.

-My dad surprised me at work one day. He called my boss and told asked her if I could have the night off. So my boss called me and told me that my dad needed me to go home. I was so worried that something was wrong.. but I walked in the door of my house and my dad said "Kylee you look beautiful! Are you ready to go?" and I asked "go where?" and he just told me to hop in the car. So I did.. and we drove to Salt Lake and he took me to training table.. I was so confused as to why we drove clear to Salt Lake to go to training table.. but after dinner we were crossing the street and this big sign said that Michael Buble was playing in concert that night.. and my dad surprised me with 10th row tickets to the concert. I had so much fun!

-It was my first semester in college and it was the monday of finals week and my dad surprised me by coming down to school and bringing me a good luck present.

-My dad loves to talk in different accents. On the way home from a vacation he talked in and Irish accent for at least a half hour straight.. and we all could not stop laughing :)

- This summer my dad would often saunder down the stairs late at night and find me just sitting there and he would sit and talk.. I loved it!

-I love the little texts I get!

-He can make everything okay.. no matter what the situation is!

-He loves to have fun! I love that when we go on vacations we can always plan on having tons of fun!

-My dad loves to rhyme.. and sometimes he just gets on these rolls.. and can rhyme and rhyme and rhyme.. and we all just sit and laugh!

-He is the best on the bbq and breakfast and cookies!

Happy Birthday dad! =)

Now for my mom =) My mom is the most sincere, tender hearted, strongest, patient, most friendly person that I have ever known. I admire her so much.. and I feel that if I could even be half the person that she is when I grow up I would be so happy. Here are some of my most treasured memories and things that I love with my mom.

- This summer I was out talking with this boy that I really liked until two o clock in the morning.. it was one of those DTR talks.. and I came in and ran downstairs to my room.. well I hear someone coming down the stairs.. and I thought it was my dad, so I pretended to be asleep.. but it was my sweet mom. She came in and said "Ky?" and I was so surprised! I was like "Mom?" and she ran to my bed and layed down and grabbed some blankets.. (I was sleeping in Shay's bed that night for some reason) and she said okay.. tell me everything. Me and my mom talked for at least an hour and a half.. and she is just my best friend.. with me through thick and through thin.

-Me and mom were in church many times this summer in sunday school and would just bust a gut laughing at something or another.

-My mom is constantly laughing.. I love the sound of her laugh.. it is music to my ears!

-She is known for her pumpkin, banana, and zucchini bread.. and her sunday dinners!

-I had home release my last semester of high school and me and my mom would eat lunch together.. and we would go shopping, and just sit and talk for hours!

-My mom came to school to take me to see the Emma Smith movie! and we could cry together!

-My mom would always leave me notes that just made my day to find!

- Me and my mom got lost on snow mobiles one time.. and we were scared for our lives! I just remember we said so many prayers that day.. and we got lots of laughs out of that afterwords!

-My mom made me try out for colorguard captain.. and I thought that I would never make it and was on the verge of not trying out....

-My mom would always dance around the kitchen doing cheers! I love it!

-My mom is my biggest cheerleader!

I love you mom.. happy Birthday!

My Family

I have been in such a reflective mood today.. and all I can think about is my cute family. I thought I would share some thoughts..

-My family is my very best friends

-My favorite trip was going to Florida with them.. and I got stuck in between the wall and the bed.. and me and Lyndee were laughing so hard cause they couldn't pull me out.

-I love to be a cheerleader and go watch Landon play football and Lyndee play soccer and Kena dance and Sydnee play soccer and Shay working :)

-When we were little we would go on Sunday drives alot of Sundays. We would drive around for hours.. I didn't love it when I was little.. but I love it now

-Landon gives the best hugs

-My parents listen to me no matter what.. they are the most selfless people I know

-Me and Lyndee and Shay would always make up dances when we were little.. my favorite was the Rockin Robin dance..

-Dad always makes vacations fun.. he is a little kid at heart
-Mom's homeade pumpkin, banana, and zuccini bread
Oh there are so many things I could say.. these are just a sample. I love them so much! They are my life savers.. They lift me up on a daily basis.. and I look up to them so much!

It was the best of days.. it was the worst of days...

Okay.. so first off.. I will start by saying.. what an adventureful saturday! You might be looking at these pictures and start to panic.. but no worries everything turned out just fine!

Backing up a little bit..

A couple days before Saturday

Wess: KYLEE! Do you want to go on a date four wheeling on Friday?
Kylee: Oh my! That sounds like so much fun! I would love to!
Wess: Sweet! We will pick you up at eleven am on Saturday. Oh, and do you possibly have a friend who would want to come too? My friend needs a date :)
Kylee: My roomate Melanie would love to!
Wess: Sweet! Sounds like a plan! See ya then!

And that was how this whole adventure started :)

On Saturday they were right on time! Me and Mel were stoked! We were so excited to hang out with these cute nice boys and just have a great time! So, we got to Joel's (Mel's date) house and hopped on the four wheelers.. and I was wondering why they didn't give us helmets to wear.. but I didn't ask.. but anyway.. so there was

three couples. Me and Wess, Mel and Joel, and Kurt and Ashley. And there were three four wheelers so we just rode together. Oh my it was so much fun! We got to this hidden lake in the mountains and there was this giant rope swing and everyone jumped off of it into the f
reezing lake except me and Ash.. I should have done it, but I was such a chicken.. that water looked freezing :) The boys started a campfire and we roa
sted hot dogs and we had such a fun picnic. Honestly, it was one of the funnest things I have ever done. It was so nice being up in the mountains and getting away for a little bit. The boys were so nice.. actually some of the nicest, funniest guys I have ever met.. So good company, good food, great activity, beautful
wa
rm day.. it couldn't get any better.

Well the boys drove the four wheelers to the lake and so they wanted the girls to have their turn and drive back to Joel's house. Well Me and Wess headed out first and Mel and Joel were right behind us, and Kurt and Ash were right behind them.. Well we were about ten minutes away from Joel's house and me and Wess had just went around this big hill. Right before we went over
it we looked back and sure enough Mel was right behind me. Well we look back about a minute later and I was completely dissoritented.. I had no idea where I was.. this was definately not the way we had came. So, me and Wess decided to wait for everyone, and after five minutes of waiting we decided to keep going, because Wess knew where I was at. Well my phone starts to ring just as we were getting out of the canyon.. so I answered it, and it was Joel saying "Kylee you need to come back to that big hill" and I asked what was wrong and he said "We rolled the
four wheeler.." And I asked if he was okay.. he was and then I asked if Mel was okay. He seemed panicked and said he didn't know. She was concious but couldn't get up.

Wess and me hurried back

When we got there Mel was just laying there on the hill on her stomach. there was a jeep that was "diggin" or four wheelin.. and we flagged him down and he came over.. he happened to be in the emt class and he took a look at her and called the ambulance.

The ambulance came.

They put Mel on a stretcher wrapped her all up like on all the movies and put her in the ambulance. I got to ride in the ambulance with her.. I got to sit in the front seat. I've never got to be in an ambulance before, so that in itself was quite the adventure! I was amazed Melanie didn't cry once. She had the bravest face I have ever seen.. and all of the emt's were grandpa's and Mel made best friends with them! I admire her so much!

We arrived at the hospital

I'm not too familiar with hospitals I have never been in the ER.. but man that is a happinin and busy place. It took the doctors four hours to take all of the X-rays and to figure out what to do.. the doctors in smaller towns don't always have the equipment they need.. so they decided to send Mel up North in an ambulance. They wouldn't let me ride in the ambulance this time.. And those cute boys were exhausted.. by this time it was eight at night and they had been waiting in the waiting room all night.. anyway I told them to go home, and I just started crying.. I had been tough all day, and had called Mel's parents to tell them the details.. I just broke when I got into my car. I called my friend Jared.. and Jared drove me up north to meet Mel's parents at the Provo hospital. Mel ended up being okay.. she got to provo and the doctor said there would be no surgery and nothing was really broken except her wrist. . and she was very very lucky.

Me and Jared got back to ephraim about three am.. what a crazy day! I am so thankful that Mel is okay! It has put me in such a reflective mood.. Life's can be taken away so fast.. IT makes me so grateful for the people in my life and for just every second!

Believe it or not.. I have a twin..

Haha.. so today I am looking over our ward list and the pictures with all of the girls in my ward.. and I see this girl that no kidding looks exactly like me. I looked at the name, and I looked at the picture.. and it was a different girl by the name of I think Sarah.. which is funny because that used to be my nickname.. or part of a nickname when I was little (haha.. shay you will get that part=)) Anyway.. so.. she has dark hair and brown eyes.. so we aren't identical.. but she has the same nose, chin, and smile as me! Weird huh! Shay doesn't even look that much like me.. crazy huh.

History Class

You know those days where you are in class and the teacher is teaching and you know they are saying something really important that is going to be on the test? And your eyelids just feel so heavy, but you try your hardest to fight to stay awake. You fidget around with your backpack, put lip gloss on, doodle on your notes, drink water, stretch.. and yet nothing seems to work? Then you look at the clock and no time has passed at all.. and you know your doomed?!:) Well.. that was how history was for me the other day.. and I guess I was dozing off but woke up really fast only to look up and find this kid laughing at me. hahah.. I mean I think I would laugh at me too.. I was probably quite the sight! But still.. full on laughing at me! haha.. so that woke me up.. I was so embarrassed.. and after class he comes up to me and says I am so sorry, but you just made my day.. I guess he had been dozing off too and woke up with a start and looked back at the class only to see me doing the exact same thing! Next class period he brought me smarties.. so that I could stay awake.. funny huh!

Lesson Learned

Oh man! I am trying to figure out how to start this story! =) Okay, so being on leadership, one of the things I have an opportunity to get to do is welcome our foreign exchange students to snow.. and show them where they live and get them all settled in. It is such a neat opportunity, and my heart truly reaches out to them. Can you imagine moving thousands of miles to a new country only know how to speak a tiny bit of english.. I mean we don't even have the same alphabet! I don't think I could do it! Okay, so anyway.. their plane didn't fly in until late at night so they didn't arrive here until about eleven o' clock. Anyway, so a bunch of us were there ready to greet them.. and me and my friend meet our fellow students who had just had a two day long flight.. and Kylee realizes her car can't fit all of their luggage let alone all of their luggage plus me, my friend, and these two students! So, I didn't know what to do.. So luckily they had the wheeley suitcases.. but I felt so bad cause we just had to walk around trying to find out where they live. I thought I knew where they lived.. but when we got to where I thought their apartments were.. there were no apartments.. PROBLEMO! so.. we kept walking.. I ran back and got my car and tried to drive ahead.. and by this time about a half hour has passed with the four of us trugging the streets of Ephraim late late at night. Anyway, so we finally found one of their apartments and get them all settled in.. and we walk back out to my car to take the other student to his apartment.. and I realize that my keys are no where to be found.. haha.. I couldn't help but just laugh to myself.. because these poor people.. they travel all this way to only travel more.. and now my keys are gone! So with much ado.. we searched for my keys and eventually found them as we retraced my tracks :) haha.. then my keys almost got locked in my car with all of the luggage.. but we won't go there.. but so then this other student didn't live in apartments.. he lived in like a town house.. and I didn't have an address.. so we were just driving around looking for a white town house in the general area that it was supposed to be in.. and we saw a house and we were like "AH HA!" we have found it! and we tried the key.. and it didn't work.. pretty sure a family lived in the house that we were trying to get into.. I am sure they thought we were trying to break in.. so we drove around for like ten minutes.. and now it is about midnight.. and we finally make a few phone calls and get pointed in the right direction.. And we all made it home in one peace.. I hope I didn't traumatize these guys to much.. So the lesson to be learned is.. if you get to host people and show them where they will be going.. make sure you find where you are going before you try to show them :)

In a World Where you Can be anything.. Be yourself

So.. I was just sitting here today when I came across this quote "In a world where you can be anything, be yourself" and I just thought to myself.. How simple of a thought, and yet how profound! Some days this is such a hard thing to do?! Why?! I have no idea.. good question ky! =) But along with this quote I would simply like to add.. be your best self. So that is what I am going to be today.. me, myself, and I! And I am sure going to try to be the best me that I can be =) Today.. I am Kylee Anderson.. nothing more, and nothing less. I am simply a student trying to make it through alive.. and finding laughs along the way, I am a dreamer, I am a girl of many hopes, I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, I am a laugher, I am a crier, I am a pathetic chocolate lover, I have a sore spot for play dough ice cream, I am a sister, I am a hopeless romantic, I am a reader, I am a tease, I am a dork, I am a singer to the radio, I a runner when I want to be, I am a flat shoe lover, I am a potential diver, I am a chick flick lover, I am a mess some days, I am a future excellent blogger =) I am a little kid lover, I am me!

My Sunshine Shay is married!

Okay, I must admit, I have been a slacker in all forms of the word for not writing on my blog more often! I would like to apologize to all my fans.. haha.. ;) I will do my best at writing more often.. and as I think about what has been happening lately I could kick myself for not sharing one of the most important days in my whole life!

My twin sister aka Sunshine Shay, Shay, "tatoe", best friend in the whole world married her prince charming, Dixon Wade Leavitt on May 28, 2008 in the bountiful temple! oh my! if only I knew how to upload pictures on my blog I would upload them so you could see :) haha.. but my words are going to have to be the pictures you see I guess until I figure out how to blog better :)

Oh my! she couldn't have picked a better day to get married on. It had been raining all week.. but not this day.. it was just beautiful and sunny and just a "Shaylee" day! It was so neat because all my life me and shay would always talk about what boy we would get to meet and then marry. We always dreamed up of how we would meet them, and what they would look like.. and I tell you, it is so neat to me that Shaylee didn't settle for anything.. she found her prince charming, her soul mate! Dixon treats Shay like a queen, and I hope every girl can find a "Dixon" in their life. I tell you what it has definately been a huge hug from my Heavenly Father, to bear witness to me that He has a plan for each of us, and we are all here for a purpose, and he doesn't want us to settle for everything, and that we can be blessed if we live the best we can, and live the commandments the best we can! I am so grateful for Shay's example to me, and I just love and look up to her so much!

It was so neat to see all of the people that came to Shay's wedding and also to her reception.. Shay and Dixon have just touched so many people's lives, including my own, and it was just so neat that so many people would drive from all over Utah to come and give their best wishes.. it meant so much to me that they have such a strong support system, and I just love everyone who came!

Aah! yay! I am just so happy! I feel so undeserving and yet so blessed at the same time to have Shaylee Anderson Leavitt as my twin sister. I know that Heavenly Father knew that I needed her! What a great gift he has given me, and am forever grateful for the endless blessings that Shay has been in my life!

okay.. funny story

So, I have to share this story..

Kay, So I am at work at Kohl's, and I am just minding my own business just folding towels and making the home department of our stoor look nice, and this guy comes up to me with I guess were his sisters. So, I kindly greet them with a hello (as we are told to do) and I ask them if they are finding everything okay.. and they say yep.. well I hear these whispers coming from their direction.. and then all of the sudden I am left with this boy and his sisters run off!! What kind sisters he has! =) And he starts talking to me.. kay.. So, I was just like oh my! what to do, What to do.. So, you know he tries to get a conversation going and I was trying to be nice, without being too nice.. there is a fine line though! Anyway.. so this boy pulls out his phone and is about to use the "hey here's my phone.. oh can I get your number by the way" lines.. and he asks so.. your boyfriend would be pretty upset if he saw me talking to you right now wouldn't he. So, I just quickly thought it out.. and I hate to lie.. but I had too! So, I said yep. But it gets better.. he stayed and talked with me for ever after that.. and just wouldn't leave. Oh my, I was like.. okay than.. and he just was a weird guy.. anyway.. he finally doesn't say anything he just leaves! Phew! Crazy utah boys! Dating life is tough! =)

haha.. just thought I would share!

The BEST thing in the whole world is being a twin!

So, I decided.. it is about time that I dedicate a page to my twin sister aka my best friend in the whole world.. SHAYLEE ANDERSON (leavitt almost)!!! Okay, so there are just some things many of you don't understand about me and Shay's relationship.. haha.. Shay is the kind of person who can put sunshine into my day no matter what! She is my shoulder to cry on, my confident, my cheerleader, my best friend! I look up to my sister so much! You see, there is just no one else out there like her! I don't think I have ever heard Shay talk bad about a person, she just has this light about her that brightens any room that she walks into! Aah! I just love my sister so much! You see, I always have a best friend no matter what the situation is! She is the only person that can give me straight up honest advice and me not crawl in a corner. She is the only one who will eat cereal with me at twelve o clock in the morning! She is the only one who will fall asleep on me when we talk so late into the night! =) She is constantly dreaming, and she sets her goals high to be able to accomplish her dreams! She is a constant friend to everyone that she comes in contact with! She is my guardian angel! Shay! I love you sweet sister! I am so glad that we are twins! Thank you so much for the countless times you are there for me, and for being patient with me!

Aah! I love being a twin!

To like or to dislike Valentines Day?

So, I have decided that Valentines is a great day if you have a man! I mean, they give you flowers and do cute things... and the day is like heaven on earth! But man, without a man, it is still an okay day. You just realize how single you are.. Here's a shout out to all of those who are single along with me=)

The funnest date

So, a bunch of me and my friends went on this date. Now, I got to go with one of my friends that is a twin, and then one of my best friends (lindsay) got to go with the other twin. Oh man, it was so much fun.

Here are some gudelines that made this date so much fun!

So here is a good date idea if anyone is looking for one.. ok ya ready... a PILLOW FIGHT! now, I know it sounds lame at first. But trust me, get a big group of people together and start a pillow fight, I guarantee there will be lots of laughs, and maybe some things broken=) but it is a blast!

Also, side note.. never.. i repeat never.. fall in the ice in a skirt!

When you go to a dance, even if it isn't the funnest of all dances.. ask one of your friends who you know pretty well to go with you.. because you can be yourself and dance your heart out. Using pretend microphones is always a bonus!

Last but not least.. never call them the wrong name! hahaha.. Long story!!! =)

And least and last... laugh till you cry, and just enjoy every second!

Growing up is hard =)

So, this week presented many challenges.. And I can honestly say.. it is hard growing up. Sometimes I wish I could sit and an go back to the innocence of childhood!=) But I find that each moment that we get we can take to learn more about ourselves.. and who we are, and who we are becomming! I truly believe that Heavenly Father blesses us in mysterious ways.. and how grateful I am for those blessings!

So in the midst of all the hard tirals.. there is always sunshine.. we just have to look outside and see all that He has given us!
