So, with my last final wrapping up tomorrow at 12pm, I have been doing a lot of thinking. Who knew four months ago that I would make such great friends and learn things that I never thought I would learn. I now know why I needed to come to Utah State, and I feel more blessed then ever to experience Aggie pride, and visit with so many different people. Even though this is labeled as the frozen tundra of Utah, I haven't felt all that extremely cold. Believe it or not, there is lots of hot chocolate here, and I enjoy being outside and enjoying the day. I am thankful for this past semester.. and I am looking forward to new adventures ahead!

Quote of the day
I take the cookies out of the oven and stared at the oven trying to figure out how to turn it off.
ME: "How do you press cancel?"
Friends: look at me with a concerned questioning look
ME: "Oh look, you press the cancel button"

If I live to be a hundredAnd never see the seven wonders
That'll be alright
If I don't make it to the big leagues
If I never win a Grammy
I'm gonna be just fine'
Cause I know exactly who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am
So when I make big mistake
When I fall flat on my face
I know I'll be alright
Should my tender heart be broken
I will cry those teardrops knowin'I will be just fine
'Cause nothin' changes who I am
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of meAnd that's who I am
I'm a saint and I'm a sinner
I'm a loser, I'm a winner
I'm am steady and unstable
I am young but I'm able
I am Rosemary's granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma's still my biggest fan
Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
But I've got friends who love me
And they know just where I stand
It's all a part of me
And that's who I am

School is hard. But well worth it. People are friendly. Squirrells may jump at you. Endless soup and bread is $2.00. Laughter is endless. Late nights are many. The ward is fabulous. Shay died her hair brown. Family phone calls are cherished. Utah State is beautiful. Spin class is early. and I am loving every second here in Logan

"Life is funny, life's a mess
Sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing
Don't worry 'bout a thing, don't worry 'bout it
Life gets sticky, life can bruise
Sometimes you win sometimes your losing
No matter what it brings
Don't worry 'bout a thing"

What a fun weekend with my family! BIG NEWS! Syd got baptized this last Saturday. It is crazy to think she is the last of our siblings to be baptized. It was such a beautiful day, and Syd looked so cute. I am so proud of her and her choice to be baptized. Shay and Dixon have been here the last three days. And it is so sad to see them leave. Can't wait to have them visit again! :) We took some family pictures. Doesn't everyone look so old? I can't believe it.

Harry Potter
So, I have never really been a fan of Harry Potter. I stopped reading after the fifth book because I just got bored with the story. With the sixth movie coming out in just a matter of weeks- my friend convinced me that I needed to read the book before I saw the movie. So, I picked up the book and about a day later I finished. Holy Cow! J.K. Rowling is a genius. How in the world did she come up with all of those twists and turns and link everything together. It was honestly one of the best books that I have ever read. So, now I am on the seventh one and can't put it down. I guess you could say I am a Harry Potter buff lately. haha.. I can't wait to see the movie.

Update
My goodness! Where has the time gone? Well, I have officially been a slacker in the blogging department. But for a little update in my life- things are going really well. I am adjusting to living at home. And I am loving being able to go to everyone's games, and dance recitals. I am keeping busy by working, reading, playing uno with Lynd and Kyler, being a cheerleader, making cookies, playing volleyball, and simply by talking to people. How I love that. I feel like I am growing a lot. Who knew you could grow so much by just moving home? Life couldn't be better.

Oh boys! :)
Okay, so I walk into my grandma Kathy's school and sit down at her desk while she is teaching. My grandma teaches 1st grade in Huntsville. Anyway. So she is teaching this group of first graders and these boys keep glancing over at me and whispering. And then the conversation went like this:
1st grade boy to the other boy: "Look at her, she's really cute! How old is she?"
All the sudden I hear my grandma say "nuh uh, boys! she's way too old for you! She's 19!"
Then the boys all look at me and start to giggle. So then all day I had different boys saunder over to my desk and say : "Kylee, Cache loves you"
Question for you: is it bad that it made my day that the first grade boys thought I was cute?? :) haha.. cause it totally did. What a fun day. I love little kids.

Are you finding everything okay?
"Hi, this is Kohl's in Layton where you can expect great things. This is Kylee, how can I help you?"
Are you tired? Do you poop out at party's? Are you feeling listless? Are you feeling rundown? Then Kohl's is the place for you! Find all you need and more! :) (if you aren't an I Love Lucy fan then you won't get that pun :) )
Do you have a hard time finding the shoe department? Do you need to know where the restroom is? Would you like to know if you qualify for the 15% off coupon? Would you like to open a Kohl's charge account? Can't find the size you are looking for? Do you need to know how much that shirt is on sale for? Do you need someone to carry that vaccuum out to your car? Do you need a telephone to use? Do you need someone to get that item that is too high up on the shelf down for you? Are you finding everything okay?
Well.. have no fear, Kylee is here! Needless to say, I am your girl when is comes to shopping at Kohl's!
Yes, I am back at it again.. being a sales floor associate brings upon many laughs, sighs, and hard work. But don't get the wrong impression. I love my job and the different adventures is brings everyday.

Livin' the Life :)
My date Jake
Utah State Ambassadors
Okay Where to begin! :) Friday I went up to Utah State to meet my new team. On the way up I stopped in Provo to go to lunch with one of my best friends, Heidi. It was just so fun to catch up and talk! Funny story okay so we are sitting there eating our lunch when this bee happens to fly on over and just land right by me.. So I try to keep myself composed. Heidi grabbed these guys that were sitting next to us and had them come and kill the bee. It was so funny. I am so grateful for laughter and good friends!

Teeth
haha.. so everyday I volunteer in Mrs. Nilsen's 1st grade class. They have now become my class :) haha.. I feel so possessive of my kids and how they are learning, and I get excited when they succeed, and get bummed out when they miss their math problems. I love Mrs. Nilsen, and she has really taken me under her wing. My grandma Kathy teaches first grade; and Mrs. Nilsen reminds me exactly of my Grandma Kathy. I have just grown to love this teacher.
.. Anyway, so that is a brief history prior to this story. Okay, so I am sitting there correcting homework when little Janna runs up to me and says Kylee, my tooth hurts so bad. I look at her, and that tooth was hanging by a string. Have you ever seen the cartoon movie.. I can't think of which one.. (Shay I know you will know what one I am thinking of) but one of the cartoon characters blows her tooth in and out cause it is so loose?. Pretty sure Janna could be this cartoon character. Haha.. So then I am laughing so hard because Mrs. Nilsen sees, and is just grabbing her stomach and saying "Janna, your going to have to wait until you get home to make that tooth feel better. You know how I can't handle loose teeth." I thought she was just kidding at first, but she was serious. I guess she gets so queezy at loose teeth. She told me that when her kids were little she would send them over to the neighbors house to have the neighbor pull the teeth because she couldn't handle it. So I was just in histarics laughing at Mrs. Nilsen's reaction. Anyway, So I said, "Janna, come here and let me have a look" So she did, and I said, "try to pull it out". She tried. It didn't come out. So I said okay, hand me a tissue. I was handed a tissue. And now for my moment of glory! Out pops the tooth! And Janna is just yelling, I can't tell from the pain or if it was more of a victory yell.. like an Oh ya! I just lost my tooth! Anyway, we got a tooth necklace from the office for her. And she did a show and tell, and told the whole class how "Teacher Kylee" pulled out her tooth for her. Wow, I felt like a Star! :) haha.. what a fun day in the first grade! I am so stoked to be a teacher!

Dream Big
(Ryan Shupe & The Rubberband)
When you cry, be sure to dry your eyes,'Cause better days are sure to come. And when you smile, be sure to smile wide,And don't let them know that they have won.And when you walk, walk with pride, And don't show the hurt inside,Because the pain will soon be gone.
And when you dream, dream big,As big as the ocean, blue.'Cause when you dream it might come true.So when you dream, dream big.
And when you laugh, be sure to laugh out loud,'Cause it will carry all your cares away. And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself,And it will help you feel okay. And when you pray, pray for strength to help you carry on, when the troubles come your way.
And when you dream, dream big,As big as the ocean, blue.'Cause when you dream it might come true. But when you dream, dream big.
When you cry be sure to dry your eyes, cause better days are sure to come. And when you smile be sure to smile wide, and don't let them know that they have one.And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud,'Cause it will carry all your cares away. And when you see, see the beauty allaround and in yourself, and it will help you feel okay. And when you pray, pray for strength to help to carry on when the troubles come your way.

The story of Prince Nafaniel and Princess Kathathalee...
haha.. okay so I guess I should explain the title of this entry.. and I will in just a sec.. Let me start from the beginning though :)
Okay, so on Saturday night Nate shows up at my house at nine. So, we were heading out to Layton to go to one of his friend's house and we hop onto Highway 89 and all of the sudden there was this loud strange noise.. and I looked at Nate and I said, "um, Nate? what is that sound?" He quickly pulled over and we got out. He looked under his car and sure enough His muffler had fallen off. How a muffler falls off I am not quite sure. I guess my question is, does it really fall off.. or is it just kind of still attatched? haha.. okay I am definately not educated on cars. Okay, back to the story. So, Nate just looks at me like okay what should we do. I just laughed because if any of you know me, I am not the most reliable resource in this situation. :) Anyway, one of his friends came and picked us up and took us back to my house to grab my car.
Oh! so I introduced Nate to some good country music. But I guess that is the least important part of this adventure.. but still at least he got to be introduced.. I have a feeling it will grow on him :)
Okay, so we drive back to his car and he was under his car trying to fix it and I was talking to him. He wasn't frustrated, but kind of bummed out that it had happened.. and so I said "Nate, tell me a story." So he just starts laughing and he starts the story about once upon a time there lived a prince Nafaniel and princess Kathathalee.. and they were stranded.. and any way.. we got laughing about that for a while.. and all through the night the story kept being altered and it just made light of a stressful situation..
Okay, so me and Nate couldn't fix the car by ourselves, so we drove to his friend's house where the party was, and grabbed one of his friends along with some duct tape and drove back to his car. Nate and his friend ended up duct tapping his muffler back on.. (I guess duct tape really has an endless number of uses :) ) Oh, I forgot my important role in all of this. See, we forgot to bring a flashlight.. so I got to hold everyone's phones and shine the little bit of light under the car so they could see.. I know right.. talent! just call me Kylee :) haha.. Okay, I forgot to mention too that this was a monumental night for me. Something about me that all of my good friends know is that I struggle with left hand turns. Like I am okay turning left if I only have to cross say one lane of traffic, but when I have to cross multiple lanes I just struggle.. I would much rather make a right then turn left then make a u-turn then make a right so I am now in the right direction :) does that make sense? So, since we are on highway 89.. I had to make a left hand turn on the highway not just once.. but a plethera of times! I know right! I am talented! :)
Okay so after they were done tapping the car Nate tells me to follow behind them in my car. So I said I would. So we get onto the highway and he gets into the fast lane.. and I am just thinking to myself.. "What is he doing in the fast lane?" His friend's house is a right turn off of the slow lane. So I stayed in the other lane and carefully clogged the traffic. haha.. oh gosh.. so then they turn left.. and I had to keep going straight because it was too late for me to turn left.. and I had all these cars honking at me. So any way I call Nate and he picks up and says "Hey ky, I thought you said you were going to follow me" and I start laughing anyway.. they were laughing at me and asking if I knew how to follow people.. I am no good with directions so it was a little bit of a problem I didn't turn left with them. But no worries with alot of explaining from them, I managed to find them. Funny part was is I got behind this really slow car and I start to blinker over.. I was just like what is this car doing going 25 mph in a 50 mph zone.. yeah it ended up being Nate.. duh ky :) okay so they just park their car in front of this house and they told me they couldn't find the repair shop they were going to take his car too.. So they hopped in and I drove and we hadn't even gone a mile when I said "hey guys, isn't that it right there" they stared at me dumbfounded and said "yeah" so we turned back around got his car and drove it to the repair place. Whoo! We made some progress :)
Hahahaha.. okay so after many laughs and help from good friends we made it back to the party. It ended up being midnight by the time we got to the party.. and that means my curfew. So quick goodbyes and I was off. Nate and his friends sat there on the corner watching as I made my triumphant left turn onto the highway. Man, if they hadn't been watching I would've definately turned right.. how embarrassing.. I can just picture Nate telling all his friends like "look she made the left!" and him just being like she can't turn left..
haha.. and that is the end of this story! :) the end

And yet.. another popcorn incident.
So, I was telling my friend Nate this story last night, and the first thing he said to me was "oh no ky, not another popcorn story.. you need to stay away from popcorn" haha..
Okay, so this story starts out with me getting this grand idea to pop popcorn on the stove.. because it would be so cool to live like the old fashioned people lived.. I soon came to find out why they invented pop corn poppers, and why you should just go the easy route and use the popcorn popper instead of the stove.. so now that we understand this, I will continue with the story..
Okay, so I put the pop corn seeds in the pan with some butter, and I get my roomates big see through glass plate to put over the top of the pan so that I could see the popcorn seeds through it.. I know smart of me right :) So then, my roomate comes in and says "Ky, please don't use that plate, that one is my favorite, and i don't want it to break." So I smile at her, and I said "Em, don't worry, I have done this before, and I have used your plate before, it won't break.." So, I continue on this grand adventure of making popcorn.. I am so cool right? :) anyway, so my whole pan starts smoking, I guess there wasn't enough butter in the bottom or something.. so I start shakin the pan, and sure enough the popcorn starts popping! Whoot! genius.. and I was so excited it actually worked! So then it didn't pop at a steady pace so the popcorn turned into this fantastic black color, and it smelt divine too.. :) so I quickly remove the pan from the stove along with the smoking popcorn.. I grab my hot pad, remove the plate, and put it under water to wash it.. and all of the sudden this plate just cracks! I just stared at it in utter disbelief. I was just thinking to myself.. how did this happen.. anyway I ran and hid the plate under my bed, so that my roomate wouldn't see. I felt like I was five when you would break something or do something and you would do anything so that your mom wouldn't find out.. haha.. anyway, I was in sure high hopes that I would be able to find a new plate. Um, I was wrong.. wasn't able to find one.. so after a restless sleep of glass plates coming to get me in my dreams, I confessed today to my roomate.. and the only thing she said to me was "Kylee, I told you that would happen"
Morale of the story.. listen to your roomates.
2nd Morale of the story.. stay away from popcorn
3rd morale of the story.. don't try to be cool and live like you were part of the olden days..
Oh, and quick lesson of the day for you.. if boys want to cook you lunch and they get this grand idea to feed you roman noodles with tuna in it.. kindly come up with an excuse; like I already ate, or I forgot I have a test right now.... I would then leave the premisis as quickly as you can.... just a tip..

Uh...
Okay.. so this blog is dedicated to shaylee. because I think only she will appreciate this and laugh as hard as I do :)
Okay, so it all started today in my speech class. Today, I had to give an informative speech. So I chose to inform my class about how to make caramel popcorn. Well, for the introduction of my speech I took a bite of the already made caramel popcorn.. I swallowed the popcorn and everything..
Okay, now imagine you are in the audience of my class watching me give my speech about how to make caramel popcorn.. and then all of the sudden about three minutes into it I all the sudden cough and a big piece of popcorn comes flying out of my mouth clear to the middle of the audience.
Alright.. if you could visualize that somewhat.. that is exactly what happened to me. And it was so embarrassing. Everyone's eyes were the size of tennis balls as they just stared at me as if to say "eew.. oh my gosh, did that really just happen"
You are probably wondering my reaction to this.. well I just stared back at them and I just started to laugh and I said "Oh my gosh, did that come from my mouth?!" haha.. and me and my whole class just busted a gut.. and I tried to regain my compsure to continue my speech about caramel popcorn.. as if they want to even listen now.. they were in histarics laughing..
Anyway I thankfully got through my speech.. and I was just laughing so hard! Honestly, who does that?! haha... Shay, I hope you enjoy this story as much as I do :)

Happy Valentines Day!
Hey! So, I hope that you all had as good as Valentines as I did :)
My day started when my friend Heidi came down to spend the weekend with me. We have been friends since I can remember.. gosh I think I was three and she was four when we met in California. We are both twins. Since Shay got married in May and her twin Heather is engaged and getting married in March we decided that we'd party up the single life in Ephraim :) haha.. We laughed until our stomachs hurt, cried, watched some great chick flicks, ate good food, overall it was just a really fun weekend. We got to visit the Manti temple, which was beautiful with all of the snow covered trees around it. Heidi is truly someone whom I admire.. I am so blessed and grateful for such a good friend. Happy Valentines :)

Scariest Moment of My Life....
Okay, so I only have a few minutes.. but I have to blog about this one.
So, today at about five o clock, I decide that I need to head out the door to work. But before I do, I decided to stop for a quick bathroom break.
quick explanation. My bathroom has a shower in it.. not the tub with a shower.. but a shower with a door that swings open and shut with the gray foggy glass kind.. you know what I am talking about?
okay.. back to the story.. so I go in my bathroom and my roomate Melanie was in my room.. and some of my other roomates were home. But I go into the bathroom and almost sit down.. and I look over to my shower and there is this man in my shower! I don't think I have ever screamed so loud in my life.. I was just trying to not pee my pants as I frantically tried to get out of the bathroom. The bathroom door was locked so I kept trying to open the door.. and I was still screaming and looking at this shadowy figure of this man in my shower! (which is one of my greatest fears by the way..) but the door never seems to open fast enough when you need it too. Well, my roomate Melanie who was in my room was so concerned as to what was going on in the bathroom.. Cause I just kept screaming at the top of my lungs. So, I finally make it out of my room and told Mel that there is a guy in our shower. Well, I hear all of this laughing, and I don't dare see who is in my bathroom.. so I walk out all panicked and my roomate is rolling on the floor with tears streaming down her face because she is laughing so hard. She couldn't spit any words out. So I march back into my bathroom. Open the shower door, and long and behold stands a 6 foot tall cardboard Edward (from twilight) standing in my shower! Oh my gosh.. I think me and my roomates laughed for a good half hour at this..
it gets even better. The funny part of this story was around lunch time, My roomate was doing the same thing to my other roomates shower. And I helped her. I told her that she had to do it to Melanie. So she put it in my shower to scare Melanie, and I had completely forgotten that she put it there.. oh my gosh! Never a dull moment in the life of Kylee that's for sure :) Love ya

I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever living Head.
He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.
He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with His eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.
He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, I’ll sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death:
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.
He lives, all glory to His Name!
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives,I know that my Redeemer lives!

Thoughts...
For some reason I like to think best at night.. here are some of the thoughts on my mind right now..
-Life is great.. I have truly been blessed
-The paths, bridges, and the twists and turns I have been through have been worth it.
-Laughter is the best thing in this whole entire world.
- Okay I will expand a little bit on this one. So tonight we had enrichment. And for enrichment we had a late night.. and for this late night I think I have gotten out of my comfort zone more than ever before.. and boy did we laugh until our hearts were full and our eyes were wet. We played this game kind of like improv.. but not.. ask me for details later.. haha.. but it was so much fun.
-I wonder what is ahead this semester
- Hard work is worth it
-I love being a twin.. and being able to read each other's thoughts.. shay always knows when I need a phone call.
-I love that the world is so small.. I can honestly make a connection with so many people because of a common friend.
... and there are a few others on my mind.. but i don't have words for them.. haha.. I have no idea how to get them on paper :)
